Lindsey & Andrew: Married

Lindsey and Andrew’s day was absolutely AWESOME! Not only did Lindsey have one of my favorite dresses OF…ALL…TIME…but the friends and family this crew was surrounded by made for a day full of fun, LOTS of laughter, and really great reception pictures! (man…these kids can dance!) The day started off nice and steamy hot (gotta love Ga. weather right???) with a 60% chance of rain. We were all praying that the rain would hold off and right as we went outside to take some group shots, the sky, every so gracefully, decided to fall out. :) After about 15 minutes of rain, the clouds parted, the seats were dried, and we were able to have a beautiful ceremony under an elaborately decorated arbor at Kimball Hall in Roswell. So…I STILL hold true to my “we’ve NEVER been rained out of a wedding” statement! Woohoo!

I wont fluff this post with any more words because I know that the images speak for themselves, but I will close this post by saying that Andrew loves Lindsey. Not only does he love her…he LURVES her. The entire evening he was beside her. He was there making sure that she was taken care of in every way. He wiped her tears during the toasts. He rubbed her back when she said she was tired at the end of the night. He told her she looked beautiful over and over again. And we couldnt help but blush ourselves when she would look at him either. She knew she would marry him long before their engagement and we saw from the moment we arrived at the Hall that this day was something she had dreamed about for a very long time. Ahhhhh love…we love it. :) Congrats Lindsey & Andrew! We are so excited for you and cant wait to see what is in store for you as a married couple!!!

Nicole & Andrew: Married

Oooooh! Who’s on top of it…thats ME! 2 blog posts in one week, Im on a roll! :)

Nicole and Andrew were married last month at Reunion Golf Club in Brasleton and their day could not have been better! These two are such a special couple and we were so blessed to spend the day with them as they celebrated with all of their friends and family. Ive known Nicole for 3 years or so and when I met Andrew I KNEW this boy was made for her. They way they look at each other….the way they speak of each other…it was meant to be. :) Here are some of our favorites from their day!

You guys will recognize sweet Leslie from her bridal portraits a few weeks back. Well, she and her new hubs, Mark, got married a few weeks back and are now happily settled into married life. We had such a fun time with them at their wedding and could not have asked for better weather/attendants/or guest! The ceremony was at the chapel at the University of Georgia, the reception was at Foundry Park Inn, and everything went off without a hitch. There are a ba-gillion pictures so…we’ll let them do the talking for us. Enjoy!

Casey & Bret: Destination Wedding-Portland, OR

Everyone, meet Casey & Bret! Seriously…I cant say enough about these too! Their wedding was so much fun and absolutely, 150% worth going to the other side of the country for. :)

Casey is the wedding and events guru at Foundry Park Inn and Spa in Athens and we love working with her for tons of our fabulous brides…so when she asked ME to shoot her wedding I was floored! She works with the best of the best all of the time and it might have made me feel really special for her to ask us to cover one of the most important days of her life. :) hehehe Brett is a chef at the Classic Center in Athens and as it turns out, I shoot at one of his former jobs a lot! He’s got a passion for food and needless to say…he’s a man after Anthony & I’s heart… :) When Casey told me their plan was to get married in Portland, I was beyond excited! Portland is one of my favorite cities in the whole wide world…its the city that literally changed my life and (in my opinion) prepared my heart for Anthony…my heart lets out a big sigh just thinking about it. So…Portland makes my heart happy and Im so glad that now for Casey and Bret…it does the same thing for them!

Casey’s dress was awesome, her funky & fun flower accent (you’ll see!) was another fabulous piece by the ladies at Gardenia Floral Design, and Brett look debonair in his dressy/casual attire. These two fit into the city perfectly! The affair went off without a hitch and the weather was wonderful for some outdoor city shots. We grab more pictures of the two of these love birds in our room at the amazing Hotel Vintage Plaza, which is also where their wedding ceremony/reception took place…(*side note: Heather (the HVP’s wedding guru)…you are amazing. :) ). We had such a blast…and so did all of their family and friends. Portland just MIGHT have a few more regular visitors after this event… :)

Casey & Bret…you guys are rock stars and we had so much fun with you too! Lets hurry and plan your next trip out west that we are invited on okay?! Here is your preview, enjoy.

I LOVE this…THIS is what makes me love my job. Its the little sweet ways our couples love on each other that get me every time….(insert happy sigh here). :)

So…her dress was hot…what else can I say???

Again…Heather was terrific. :)

Making it official…

Casey wore her grandmothers earrings…they fit the outfit perfectly!

Fancy goodness & charity #2!

Hi everyone! Happy March 1st! I know its been tooooo long since our last blog post but the hiatus us over and I have tons to catch up on. Between trying to settle in from our big move and attempting to wrangle our 10 month old while working with our new intern and doing some fabulous new projects…Im spent! :) We have a LOT of awesome stuff coming up and we cant wait to share everything with you guys as it happens. We have a new site in the works that will be ready by the end of the month. We will be shooting our 2nd wedding of the year in Portland, Oregon in 2 weeks, and we will be releasing our new PartyBooth option for all of our wedding clients…so much fun I tell ya! :) Anywho…now onto this post… FIRST things first! I have a mid week wedding, engagement session, bridal session, and family pics all to post so…I’ll be back soon. :)

Our 2nd charity winner is Meals From the Heartland!

We are sent in our $100 donation and now all thats left is for YOU to donate too. One of our former brides, Kelly O’Connor is actually matching our donation this month and we hope some of you will too. Here is where to go to get your donating on… :) www.mealsfromtheheartland.org/

And now for an awesome new line of fancy goodness. :) Our friends Becky & Laura at Gardenia Floral Design have been busy like crazy working on a new endeavor that is going to blow your mind. These ladies are amazing at everything Im telling you. They are awesome business women, amazing florist, and super fun girls to be around so we jumped on the opportunity to be a part of their new project. They have started a new company (we’ll post their new site as soon as its LIVE!) that sells custom, hand made, beaded head pieces. These pieces are stunning and are perfect for our brides AND for their attendants and MOB’s. Seriously, they are incredible and super unique. Becky & Laura contacted me about a shoot they were working on with Andrea Love Minter at MINT Salon and with Deborah Yates at Deborah Yates Makeup Art to create the perfect hair and make up to show case their new line of pieces. Here are just a few of the bazillion images we got. These models were beautiful and everything went off without a hitch. Becky & Laura, get ready to be slammed because these suckers are going to fly off the shelves!

The image above is of Deborah Yates…shes a hottie huh? :) Here she is doing what she does best… :)

Married: Meredith and Michael!!

Last month we did the FABULOUS wedding of one of my best gals, Meredith. She and Mike got engaged the weekend Riley was born and shortly after that I KNEW I love me some Miguel when he held our sweet (then) 3 week old baby for the first time and looked like he was in love. This man is going to be a kick butt husband and an amazing daddy to all of the babies Im trying to convince Mer to have. And Mer ONLY deserves the best Mike so…dont let me down. :) hehehe No pressure… :)

Their wedding was so much fun and she was stunning. All of our fav AWP’ers helped make everything look incredible too. It was pretty much exactly like I would  redo our wedding so…without further ado, I will now vicariously live through Mer and Mike for the next 20 images. :)

Mer and Mike..we love you…we need you in our lives…we cant wait for you to make our kid a friend. :) And thanks for letting Riley have noodle parties at your apartment. And for letting him cry when you baby sit him. And for promising to not move far far away. :)

Everyone else, HAPPY FRIDAY! We will be slammed this weekend with work and prepping for the Athens Wedding Professionals Bridal Show this Sunday at the Ga. Center. Sunday, 12:30-6:30pm…come out and see how we’ve pimped out booth and check out all of the fabulous vendors we love so much in Athens!

AAAAAaaaannnnnndddddd! Last but not least…you have TWO days left ONLY to get in your charity nominations, because things get under way on Sunday and we cant wait to start giving money away!!! Now, on to the goods. :)

Playing catch up!

Happy New Year!!! This little break that we’ve had has been A-MAZING! We have had a lot of time as a family these last few weeks and Im a little sad that its time to get back to the daily grind. :) I absolutely LOVE my job…its the only job I would ever give up being a stay at home mom for…its the only job that has ever made me feel whole. Being a photographer and having this business is one of the best decisions I have ever made. BUT…some times my family and home life gets set to the side so that I can work and love on all of our awesome clients. All that to say that it has been really great getting to love on my family these last few weeks! :)

I have fallen behind something feirce on blogging and I promise to remedy that right now! Here is a post with a whole bunch of pictures from the last several weeks…Im sparing you all of all the commercial shoots/headshots we have done and just getting to the fabulous families, babies, couples, & hot mamas we have been working with. Sooo…lets let the blog rollin get under way!

Meet Pam & James~ these two were awesome! They got married this summer and wanted to get some fun pictures around one of there favorite spots in Athens, Speak Easy.  Here are just a few pics from their session.

Here is the absolutely stunning Franchesca…just a little sneaky peaky… :)

Meet the Burt’s & the Hall’s! I used to work with Julie and Kristy in college at a music store downtown. Yes…the are identical twins. :) Julie and her husband have a sweet little girl named Joie. Kristy and her hubs just had twin girls. Sooo…needless to say there is a LOT of estrogen in this family! heheeh These familes are so sweet and are genuinely amazing people. These love the Lord with everything in them and are such a fantastic example of support and love within a family. I remember when we were all younger Julie, Kristy, and I all thought the idea of having kids was OUT OF THE QUESTION! None of us really wanted to be mommies and now…here we are…all with kids…and all happier in our lives than we could have ever imagined. God is good. :) Here are a few from their session.

I have a few more sessions that will be coming up on the blog this week so be on the look out for a preview of Meredith and Mike’s wedding AND pictures of sweet baby Selah. She’s brand new! :) In the mean time…here’s a little picture of chubby to complete this post. :) Have a great day!!!

Tabitha & Micah: Married!

Happy Saturday everyone! Its almost time for some good ole UGA football and a weekend of craziness so what better time for a blog post right?! :)

You all probably remember Tabitha and Micah from their e-session not too long ago. These two are so sweet and in love that it just makes me smile. I met with Tabitha and her sweet (and extremely encouraging!) mama FOREVER ago when they booked us to shoot she and Micah’s wedding. I knew then that this day was going to be amazing. I guess it was in the spring of 2008 when we met and one thing that sticks out in my memory about that meeting was when Tabitha’s mom, Lisa, asked me if we were thinking about having a baby. HAHAHA! She said, ” I know this might sound silly but you are a female photographer and since the wedding is a while away, I just figured I would ask.” Anthony and I had just stared trying for a baby that January and I was FREAKING out inside because my biggest worry about getting pregnant was how our clients would react AND how it would affect my work schedule. Looking back now all of those worries were SOOOO unnecessary (what can I say? I have THE BEST clients ever! :) ) and when we found out we were pregnant with Riley we let Lisa know right away. She was so excited for us and kept the encouragement coming! We just love this family and were so honored to be a part of their big day!

This wedding was full of really cool stuff. From the brooch that came off of Tabitha’s wedding dress that was used to decorate the cake…to the cowboy boot detailing on the grooms cake, to the fruit center pieces…everything was perfect and we couldnt be more excited for these two! Here are some of our favorites!

*side note: her bridesmaids shoes were rockin!

Amanda & Matt: Married!!!

Happy Sunday everyone! I apologize for the brief hiatus…we’ve been busy with portrait/commercial shoots and just the all around craziness of wrapping up an intense summer of weddings so my blogging has suffered. Sorry!

Everyone, meet Amanda and Matt. These two are SUPER sweet and are the most relaxed, fun-loving couple we have ever worked with. Amanda was so chill on her wedding day that it was unbelievable. Their excitement was wrapped up in the fact that at the end of the day they would be married and would have spent a really great evening with lots of friends and family.

We got their right before the ceremony started and everything was ready to go. Amanda’s dress was white with some fun swirls of black running through it and it was totally HER… any nervousness Matt may have had melted away with their first kiss…and after the wedding we took Athens by storm by heading to a few of their favorite locations before the reception got started. It could not have been a more fun day for these two! Here are a few of our favorites from their big day…

I love hugs by grandpa… :)

Her bouquet was beautiful! My ladies at Gardenia floral design rock.

I just love scrunchy tool…

First stop…Agora, for a little dress up.

Next stop…Matt’s favorite, Copper Creek.

Then off to Matt’s other fav…Wuxtry.

okay, Amanda made these little people as cake toppers for their wedding. They looked just like Amanda and Matt! Too cute!

And then they lived happily ever after…ahhhh. The end. :)

Amanda and Matt, thank you sooooo much for letting us hang out with you and be a part of your wedding day! You two are going to have a blast being married and we cant wait to hang out again next time your in Athens!
