Tessa & Sam: Engaged

These two have our heart too. Even though it was TOTALLY weird watching Anthonys 17 year old little sister make out with her boyfriend in front of my camera…it wasnt until I saw a big ole smile stretch across Tessa’s face that I realized, “Hey wait! She’s 23…not 17! And thats her fiance..not just her boyfriend!” ugh…where has time gone!?? Shooting an engagement session is always a lot of fun and super insightful as to how the couple works. But more importantly its a chance to ME to get to fall in love with them…to get REALLY excited about their big day…to understand why the love like they do. This was no exception. I watched Tessa and Sam together and I got pretty giddy just thinking about their wedding this fall. She protects him. He takes care of her. Its going to be perfect…and we cant wait! Tessa & Sam…we love you both SOOOO much! And Sam…I promise I wont call you a leprechaun on your wedding day…at least more than once. Suzanne & Chuck

Oops! I just realized I never posted this super fun session a few months back! This is Suzanne and Chuck and they are SOOOOO much fun! And SOOOOO much in love! We just shot their wedding last weekend and I cant tell you how perfect it was….wait for that post a little later. They met at the Grit and fell in love there….so thats where we went! We made our way down to The Daily Co-op for a little grocery shopping…and finished our session in a cute little nook on Prince Avenue…gosh…I just LOVE Athens. I’ve got much more to post today so…I’ll leave you guys with pictures for now!

Mary & Sam: Engaged

Happy Friday!!!!

This is Sam & Mary! We are going to have a BLAST with this couple at their wedding! I met with Mary and here mom several months ago to discuss Mary’s December wedding and when they left I just got so excited about the fun stuff that was going into the details of their day. Mary is really REALLY sweet and Sam is…literally…her perfect compliment. They laugh….a lot. And to me, thats HUGE in a relationship. They were quick to sneak in kisses, even when I wasnt looking, and its easy to see that they are best friends…couples like this make my job super easy. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Stevie & Matt: Engaged

Everyone, this is Stevie and Matt! I met Stevie at the Athens Wedding Professionals Ultimate Bridal Show in January and from the second I saw her I KNEW she had to book us! She came off so personable and sweet but funky and fun at the same time and it wasn’t hard to visual her amazing wedding after she and I talked details for a little bit. She and Matt are having a black tie wedding on Halloween evening this year and we are soooo excited we can barely contain it! This is going to be a party not to miss, thats for sure!!!

When we set up their session, Stevie and Matt were both awesome about being flexible with me as far as the location went. We knew that they loved their sweet pups and that we would end their session at a dog park, but months before their session I had stumbled upon an old abandoned airplane…out in the middle of this beautiful field…behind a junkyard…behind a body shop. I waited….and I waited…and I waited. I wanted to find the right couple that would fit this setting and when we met S&M…I knew it was them! Well…we get to the body shop and almost didnt make it to the back field. Once we got there, that plane was COVERED and I mean COVERED in briars and ivy like it had NOT been several months ago. Internally, I was a little bummed, but this couple was so willing to climb and step their way through all the crud so that I could get some really fun pictures of them doing what they do best in a really cool place. Ive said it before and I will sat it again…my clients are rock stars.

Stevie and Matt, we had the best time with you guys! I LOVE your relationship. You guys make each other laugh (oh..and me! hahaha) and its so sweet to see how you look out for one another. We cant wait for October to get here and feel so blessed to be a part of your day!

Taaaa daaaa!!!

Hey everyone! Just a quick note to let you know that our new website is finally done!!!! HOORAY! This thing has been a labor of love for..well..Im too embarrassed to tell you exactly how long BUT…for a while and we are so excited its up and ready to view. Thanks soooo much to Samantha at bludomain…she seriously helped me soooo much its not even funny. Thanks to our intern Hannah for being awesome and working on this site so much over the last few months…and thanks to my husband for looking at it a million and one times to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. Our old site will be converted into a new Portraits site and the new site is going to be used strictly for weddings and couples and brides (oh my!). Anywho…its still the same ole link so..take a look and we hope you guys love it as much as we do!

Nicole & Andrew: Engaged!

March 10, 2010 – 10:00 pm

Everyone, meet Nicole and Andrew! You will see these two again soon because they are tying the knot next month and we are so excited to be a part of their big day! First things first, these two laugh…a LOT! We had the best time wandering around Piedmont Park in Atlanta and soaking up some much needed sunlight. Right at the end of our session, Nicole’s sweet mama brought up their puppies so that we could get a few pictures of the whole family together. (Oh…and they made me miss our puppies! )

We are so happy for you Nicole & Andrew! You two wear your love for each other on your faces and we couldnt be more stoked for you both! Here are some of our favorites from your session!

p.s Her ring is…hmm…how do I put this calmly…GI-FREAKIN-NORMUS! sooooo beautiful!

Lindsey & Andrew: Engaged!!!

Hi everyone! Meet Lindsey & Andrew. These two are so much fun and have such a great story. They have known each other forever…since high school and one day it finally clicked that they should be together (and we are so excited that they are!). They are a rarity in that they will be sharing their big day with lots of family and both high school AND college friends…lots of love and fun will be had by all at this shindig! We cant wait!

We had such a great time in downtown Roswell and then at the old mill. It got crazy cold and windy but it did not stop these two from snuggling and smoochin’ the whole time. Andrew has the best smile! Its borderline contagious and I love how isn’t afraid to be sweet to Lindsey in public. These two are going to have a wonderful marriage and we cant wait for their day to get here already!!! Okay okay…on to the goods…

okay…and as we were leaving the Mill..we spotted another lovely engaged couple coming down with their photographer to take some pictures. They were standing in the ever so popular “We’re at prom…but your hands are wrapped around my stomach so it kind of looks like were having a baby” pose. As we are walking Lindseys says, “Ha! So glad we didnt do the typical shots. I thought you would have us all laying in that big pile of tires or something!”…oh but little did she know that the big pile of tires was their last stop. I love it!

Tabitha & Micah: Engaged!!!

Everyone, meet Tabitha and Micah! You will be seeing lots more of them in the coming months because we still have Tabitha’s fabulous bridals to shoot AND their super awesome wedding coming up in September! Woot!

Tabitha and her parents booked me (I THINK) in March of 2008 for she and Micah’s Sept of 2009 wedding so this has been a LONG time coming! These two are super sweet and so in love and we couldnt be more excited to document their big day for them! Its going to be so much fun and from what I have heard Tabitha say about the decor for the day, its going to be soooo beautiful too! Just think green..like apple green. I cant wait! Anywho, on to the pictures! Here are a few of our favorites from the day! Congrats Tabitha and Micah and we cant wait to see you guys again in a few months!

Meredith & Mike: Engaged!!!

Everyone meet Mer and Mike! Oh the stories I could tell about Meredith….eh! She and I go back….WAY back to the semester that Anthony and I got engaged (Fall of 2004!) She was a freshman…I was a 4th year. *(yes I said 4th year…and for those of you dying to know, it took me 5…and a half years to graduate. I couldnt make up my mind as to what I wanted to do!!! )* We were in 2 classes together and when we met it was an instant friendship. This girl is FUN-NY and when she called me a few weeks ago and told me that she and Mike were engaged I couldnt believe it! I was so excited and, although I hadnt met Mike at the time,I knew from how she talked about him that he was a pretty special guy.

Mike is Meredith’s calm…her balance…he gives her just as much attitude as she gives him…and in her words, Mike feels like “home.” I told her that when Anthony and I got engaged…that he felt like “home” to me. And Im so happy that she has found her home…*insert girlie sigh here.

Engaged: Jessica and Jordan!

Everyone, meet Jessica and Jordan! These two are sooooo much fun and we cant wait til June to shoot their wedding! Jessica and Jordan love Athens and we had a great time shooting around the down town area. I just LOVE the dress that Jessica wore too…she said it was her “on clearance” buy and Im telling you…I personally could NEVER pull off a dress of this color…but she rocked it and looked amazing the whole time! Jordan knows exactly how to make Jessica blush or giggle or smile really big and it was so much fun to watch! Their energy and love is totally contagious and we’re so excited to see how their wedding day unfolds. :)So…without further ado …here are some of our favorites. :)
