Heidi and John

Last week we shot the wedding of Heidi and John. They are friends of our here in Athens and they got married on Captiva Island in Florida. It was so pretty being out on the sand at dusk and just hanging out by the ocean and everything. We had the BEST time! Here are a few of our favorites.

Kelley and Jason

This weekend we shot Kelley and Jason’s wedding in Athens. It was SOOOOOO much fun! IT started with a small ceremony in Winder and followed by a huge reception at a country club in Athens. They danced into the night and we had so much fun with their families and friends, the whole night was beautiful! Here are some of our favorites from Saturday!

New Business Card…

Well, some of you know but I have been trying FOREVER to get a business card together that REALLY represents what I want people to think and say about my photography business. I want it to be classy and simple, but fun and modern at the same time…and I think I am finally on the right track…my mom designed this card for me and its one of two cards that we are getting printed on photo paper and that will be dispersed asap around town and elsewhere. Mama’s babies….aka SECURITY!!!!!

My two pups are an essential part of everyday life here at Melissa Pepin Photography. They are real friends…true crime solvers…and the best dang alarm system I could ever ask for. Just last week they helped me discover that our (now)former trash company was dumping all of our recycling into the regular trash trucks…we put a stop to that, thanks to my little inspector gadgets. :) Sophie (the black one) shes the “puppy”, just over a year old and is ALWAYS in trouble…I am pretty sure that she thinks her middle name is “NO!” Charlie on the other hand (the blonde), hes sweet as pie and pretty much knows it..so he uses it to his advantage on a regular basis to remind me that HE is the sweet and well behaved one…hahahah (hes a sneaky rascal though…) Just thought I would throw these up here…ALSO, these are the first with my new fat daddy camera…I love me some Canon 5D, and with the battery saver on her this thing is a BEAST! Anywho, here they are…if you call to make an appointment with us…99% sure you will here Sophie talking in the background…she wayyyy too vocal for her own good. :)

Office Crew and Fun with the new camera….

HA! Okay, so last night we went and purchased a Polaroid camera…I mean..this thing is as basic as it gets I tell ya…but we have been having a LOT of fun with it and plan on using it this weekend at Jason and Kelley’s wedding (you’ll meet them next week)! Its going to be a LOT of fun and I cant wait! So, anywho…I figured this would be a really fun way to introduce my team to you…that way if you call and don’t get me…you’ll at least be able to put a face with a voice! So, here we are! (And Terri is my mother…and she called herself the ole office maid! no hate mail please…) :)

Baby Violet

She is FINALLY here!!!! I mean…can we talk about the most anticipated baby to ever be brought into this world. She is so beautiful! Wow…mom and dad are going to have their hands full but whats that old saying, “It takes a village to raise a child”, well..Jon and Missy have a TON of willing help at their fingertips and we are all so excited to have little miss here already! Missy was such a champ and endured like a million hours of labor to bring miss Vi to meet us!


Grandparents were EVERYWHERE for the birth of this little one! Here is Missy’s mom basking in the glow of her new grandbaby!
