Channe’l & Nick: MARRIED!!!!

Okay okay..ONE last post before I call it quits for a few days…but I was so excited about posting this wedding I had to do it TODAY! :) You guys have seen these two recently because we did their engagement session a few weeks back…AND you will be seeing more of them soon because they are doing a “Day After” session with us soon so…get used to them folks! :) 

Nick and Channe’l spent sooooo much time putting every little detail together for their big day and I can tell you…it was absolutely stunning. From the over the top wedding cake that Channe’l designed herself, to her hand beaded dress…to Nick being a CHAMP for getting him eyebrows threaded before he walked down the isle (dont kill me Nick!!!!)…it was all incredible and it couldnt have all happened to a better couple! Here are just a few of our favorites….

I’ll be home for Christmas…

Hey everyone!

Today is Monday December 22nd and Im going to be heading to the studio for one last time this week this afternoon and then I wont return until after the New Year! If you have arrangements for sessions or meetings with us between the dates of 12/22-1/5, no worries..we are keeping all of those appointments! We just wont be accepting new ones until we return from the break. 

 

This year has been wonderful and now we are excited to take some time off to recoup from 12 crazy months of fun and a lot of hard work so…to everyone out there…MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! See you soon!

I forgot to post these earlier so..you guys get TWO..yes TWO posts today! :) A few weeks ago my friends Bethany(who you all probably recognize!) and Katie( and every one of my brides knows Katie!!!) got together one random night for a impromptu photo shoot. Suzann & Johnny:MARRIED!!!

I know you guys probably remember these two since we just did their engagement session a few weeks back…but their married now! Yippie! Their wedding was really sweet and when you are around them its so easy to see how in love they are. Johnny is so protective and Suzann is so loving that when they are together its the perfect fit. We had a great time on their BIG day and when we left, I was immediately jealous because they spent their honeymoon (or “honey fun trip” as we like to call it) in Wyoming snow skiing…LUCKY DUCKS! Here are some of our favorites from their day…Congrats Suzann and Johnny, you guys rock!

Drum Roll Please….

Hey everyone! So…today is the day we announce our Holiday Contest Winners!!!! YIPPIE!!!!We had a TON of stories come in and reading through them all made me really excited about Christmas almost being here! 

For our Christmas story segment of this contest, it was really difficult for us to pick just one winner! We heard stories from awesome gifts that reminded me of how great it was to be a kid…to ones that made us thankful for all of the family and friends that we get to share our holidays with. So, without further ado, here is our winning story and the winner of a $100.00 Target gift card….

“The year I turned thirteen was the worst year of my life, my dad died. The holidays were especially bad. My mom did the best she could to make Christmas the least sad she could. Every year since I was a baby I would get a Christmas bear from my parents. That year I carried around the bear I had gotten the year before, “glowie” and would take him everywhere. I cried into his soft stomach a lot that year and for years to come. That Christmas my mom got me a Christmas bear, as usual, but this bear had something special attached. There was a letter from my father (who had been very sick before he died and knew he would not make it to Christmas). He told me that he would always love me and he would be watching over me from Heaven and that if I was ever sad and missed him all i had to do was pick up the nearest bear and give it a hug. He would get the hug all the way in heaven and the bear would transfer his hug to me. I know it sounds silly, but I still do it. Anytime I see a bear I have to give it a hug. I even still buy myself a Christmas bear every year to keep up the tradition.”

Maggie:BABY IS HERE!!!

Everyone..meet little miss Maggie! She was born last week to our good friends Holly and Derek and we couldnt be more excited that she is FINALLY here! We went to the hospital for one of our “first 48″ sessions and she was so incredibly sweet the whole time. Derek and Holly are so excited to have their sweet little miss here and their families have already said this is the best Christmas gift the could have received this year! So for all of you out there who still cant decide what to get your parents for Christmas…thats this years hot item…a BABY! :) hehehehe Here are a few images from our session! We love you Derek, Holly, and little miss Maggie!

 

This next one just makes me laugh! She was like…”ummm..lady…cant you see Im having mommy and daddy time right now???!!” :) hehhehe

Now onto THIS post…. :) 

Everyone..THIS is my beautiful friend Bethany… :) I just love her! heheheeheh Bethany and I took belly dancing classes together about a year ago…she had 6 months up on me at the time and when I gave it up to start working out with my mom more at her gym in Atlanta…Bethany kept on trucking and she is AWESOME! This week she had a show in Athens and so we got together for a little session a few hours before…i LOVE her costume and Im so glad I went…it was so much fun! I have decided to start back again…but Im waiting until Im a good 8 1/2 month pregnant to do so..that way I can know over all of the skinny girls in the class with my big pregnant belly! hehehe not that I have anything against skinny folks..Im just saying….thats funny! :) now on to the images….and be on the look out for more Bethany as I post some shots from an impromptu night shoot from last week…heheeh. :)

Baby:Collin

This is newborn baby Collin! He is the sweetest thing ever! Just a little over 6 weeks old and boy was he cute! I got to see first hand the whole “boys will spray you!!!” thing so…Im feeling like Im going to have my hands full when our little guy gets here!!! His mommy and daddy are absolutly in love and we had a great time talking “baby” while I was with them. Here are a few from our session the other day and be on the look out for more sessions to be posted asap!! OH..and the last one just makes me laugh out loud!!! They come with their own personalities…its so funny! :)

Ready to win something….

Hi everyone!!!! I hope Thanksgiving was wonderful for every just like it was for us!! We ate Turkey until we almost got sick and I have been SUCKED up in this Twilight series like its no bodies business…I have seen the movie TWICE now and Ive got a date with my friend Bethany to go see it again in the next week or so…if anyone can explain to me whats making this series attach itself to me..PLEASE let me know! I celebrated my 26th (shesh!!!!) birthday by reading Twilight (yes..all 500 pages in 2 days….!!!) and I finished New Moon 2 days later (yet ANOTHER 500 pages) and Im on book 3 now so…my holiday was spent relaxing and filling my head with stuff that really didnt matter…and for that..i was very thankful! Sometime I forget how to rest…how to relax..how to SIT…and we got to do a lot of that over the little break. :) 

HOWEVER….this post is NOT about Thanksgiving…its about CHRISTMAS! Tis the season for giving and I know that over my 26 years year on earth..i have received some of the best presents a girl could get! I remember my first bicycle…I woke up on Christmas morning to see that my whole living room had been decorated in pink and white streamers by Santa and his team…and he left the most BEAUTIFUL pink and white bike for me! Complete with streamers on the handle bars..a horn…name plate…and a little flag on the back! It was awesome!!!! I also remember one Christmas when I was in high school and I ran into a lady at a store a few days before the Holiday…she was returning all of her gifts she had purchased because there had been a family emergency and it required all of the money they could muster up. I remember this overwhelming feeling of desire to help her..but i didnt have enough money to buy all of her gifts back..or to give her anything monitary at all…. so I went up and asked her if I could pray for her and she said yes. We stood there in the middle of a Kmart…and we prayed together. I never knew what the situation was or if it really even mattered to her..but I know that THAT year…my favorite gift was being able to be pray for her and her family…right where she was, broken and all. It was such a HUGE blessing to me…and I carry it with me every year. 

So…in the spirit of giving..we have TWO contest going on this December! The contest will run  from Today, Dec. 1st….until Dec. 15th and here is how you play and what your playing for!!!!

1st: Tell me best gift you have ever received!!! It can be funny…it was be serious…it can be selfish…it can be giving…no matter what it is, just TELL ME!!!
