Maternity:Schill Family

Everyone, meet the Schills! I gave a little sneak peek last week from their session so, you’ll probably recognize the cutie patootie red head sporting his business casual wear…but here are a few more that we loved from their session! We shot this session on Friday afternoon and on Wed. morning…Abby went into labor. I have to say, Im super happy that their new sweet baby boy is finally here because being around Abby sent panic waves straight through me ALL the time! One minute we’re talking recipes…the next minute Im sweating and panting in a corner like Im being attacked by wolves! We cant wait to get our camera on their new little guy asap, but in the mean time…here are a few more of our favorites from their session! We love you guys Schill family and we’ll be over to visit soon!

Baby: Braxton

Everyone, this is sweet miss Braxton! We did her session this week and let me tell you, she’s one sweet baby! She was so cooperative and just as cute as could be…definitely the kind of baby that makes me excited about becoming a mommy soon! (And I told Anthony I might just have to velcro a bow to Riley’s head every now and then because Braxton looked so darn cute in it!!!) Here are a few of our favorites from their session!

ooooh and I love me a naked baby! :) little cute legs!

Go Dawgs!

you can see where she gets her bright blue eyes… :)

And this one was just plain funny. :) Her daddy gave her a kiss and she DEFINITELY rolled her eyes…wait til shes a teenager..hehehehehe

Jason and Anna, thanks for letting me hang out with you guys on your day off! You have a cutie pie on your hands and we cant wait to see you guys again this summer!!

Preview Power….

hi everyone! Happy Monday!!! :)

This week is kind of KA-RAZY so I figured I would take a second to pause for a little blog post. I have a few shoots set up this week…(Im about to run out the door to one as I type!) and then Anthony and I leave this evening to go to OUR photo shoot with MHP…so exciting! We had crap for wedding pictures and this is the first time we have been in front of a camera TOGETHER since we got married, almost 4 years ago! But we are in super good hands so…we’re really excited! Anthony’s already practicing his camera ready smile….you know the one…fist tucked firmly below your chin…mouth open ever so slightly, Gosh I love Olan Mills! :)

I’ll post more of these later, but I wanted to give Abby and Ben a little preview from our session with them on Friday…it was really fun and their newest addition should be here ANYTIME now! She told me if me making her stand up and sit down on Friday sent her into labor, she’d get me a fruit basket… :) This is actually a picture of the little guy they already have…Mr.Big Brother we like to call him…he’s business casual all the way. :)  See you guys later this week!

it keeps growing and growing and growing…

Just in case you guys are getting curious..I thought I would post this pic that my friend Jessica took of me last week at a big ole party that we attended in Greensboro…as GUESTS! It was a lot of fun. :) Im counting down the weeks now and we are only 9 weeks away from meeting our sweet little baby boy! (And only 3 DAYS away from our super awesome maternity session with Millie Holloman Photography! ) So…needless to say, we’re getting really excited about all that is coming our way!!! :) Have a Happy Valentines Day everyone, we LOVE you all!!!

Operation Love: Coleman Family

Everyone, meet the Coleman Family!!! These guys are super special for several reasons(and they’ve given us freedom to about um!)…I’ll list a few.

1. They brought along their sweet family dog, Albert…HA! I called him Burt the whole time…he was really funny. :)

2. This mom has her stuff together! She wrangles 4 kids and manages to look AWESOME…I mean..”hot mom check in, what what??!!”

3. Dad…totally IN LOVE with hot mom! These two were worse than teenagers at prom! I LOVE it!

4.These kids were all awesome…the boys..100% BOY! (Rock throwing and all!) and the girls…100% GIRL! (You should have seen them striking a pose..it was so fun!)

5. Last but NOT LEAST (by any means…) this family is so special because they are a proud military family. Their story is one that hits home with me and Anthony because ALL of Anthony’s brothers have at one point or another have served or are currently serving in the military. *side note: Im super happy to say that my brother in law, Joni, just got back from Iraq and we are SOOOO glad he’s home!!*  Mr.Coleman leaves for active duty over seas in a month or so and we are so appreciative of his service to our country! Its families like this…Dads like this…that  keep our country safe and for that we should all be more than grateful!

We had a REALLY great time with this family and even though it was cold as Alaska out…they braved it and it shows! Thanks Coleman family for letting us be a part of your journey and we cant say THANK YOU enough for your sacrifice and service!!! You guys rock! Here are a few of our favorites…

You are what you eat…

Well…here it is friends! Monday…and as promised last week, we have completed our little blog contest and I have to tell you…it was worth every penny spent. :) Our good ole buddy James managed to not only guess what our mystery product was, but we went the extra mile and ate it on camera. Im telling you people…this stuff was JUST as nasty looking on the spoon as it was in the jar! I wonder what this stuff is actually used for…??? Oh well. Another day, another contest. :) hahaahah As promised, here is how it all went down…

Alright, so it started off pleasantly enough…until we unscrewed the lid of our 32oz jar of Vita and realized there was a safety seal…it was pretty awesome. :)

James then proceeded to get a big ole spoonful of tasty bits…hahhah

In it goes…

We’re not inhumane..we let him wash it down with a little juice afterwards…nothing like pickled herring and cranberry juice…hahahah!!!

And here is James with his loot!

Congrats James! You’re a champ for real and thanks for letting us torture you for a little free music. :)

And here is where I get lost. As a girl…I know that there is nothing in me that makes me go, “Hmm…that guy almost gaged eating this stuff…hmm…I bet I could do it. It cant be THAT bad.” But…boys think VERY differently from girls…here in lies case in point…our friend Derek. Bless him! Derek wanted to take the Vita challenge too…so we passed the spoon and in he went!

Seriously…not worth it! hahahahh… nonetheless…REALLY funny to watch!

On an unrelated note, here is a picture of sweet Miss Sadie, James daughter…you guys have been her on here a million times before but…shes so stinkin cute I cant help it!

And lastly, on another completely unrelated note…check out a new song that will appear on our website this afternoon. I heard this song this weekend and it was awesome! Its by a guy named B.Reith and its called “Go on.” The song is all about thinking your a somebody…but realizing that your a nobody. As funny as it is (and it IS hilarious!!!), it made me think a lot. So often in life I feel like we take ourselves WAY to seriously…always looking over our shoulders to see who’s looking and what they’re saying. Always wanting to be the best at something so we can get some kind of praise from people who (sometimes) only really matter in our minds…not so much in real life. Always wanting to be SOMEBODY…rather than a nobody. But I think that being a “somebody” is a little over rated. If you cant have fun and really love people with your work…your business…your life…then whats the point? So…if even for 3 minutes and 59 seconds, take the opportunity to laugh at yourself and let your guard down…its worth it, I promise. :)

Gimmie some a dat!!!

Congratulation to James Miller for winning our “Livin la VITA loca” contest! This my friends, its Vita! It IS Pickled Herring (blah!) in a sour cream and wine sauce (bla-la-la) with “tasty bits” a.k.a small sliced onions (ba-la-la-la-OMIT!). When I told my mom about seeing this product in the grocery store, she says, “Oh, Ive heard of that stuff. Its a delicacy in some places!” My thoughts….that MUST be why it cost a whopping $5.00 a jar at Kroger…hmmm…makes sense huh? heheheheh

So, as promised, James will be getting a super awesome $25 itunes gift card. BUT…there is more!!! Since James hit the nail on the head with this one, we’ve decided to up the annie a little. :) Anthony called James and told him that we’d throw in an additional $15 itunes gift card if he would actually EAT a big ole spoonful of this tasty product…WHILE we catch it on camera!!! Like a champ, he agreed! So, keep watching for Monday’s post…it promises to be a doozy! hahahhahh Have a good weekend!!!

OH! In case you are interested in finding this yummy treat…you can find out more about products by Vita HERE!!

Livin’ la VITA loca!!!

Okay…so I know the song doesnt say VITA…but thats what this post is about so bear with me. Being pregnant can make all things delicious sound aweful. The slightest funky smell can send you into a whirlwind of nausea and even stuff you LOVED before (like avacados…mmmmm!!!) can make you want to gag! Well, I was at the grocery store yesterday and saw a product in the (heres a clue!) REFRIGERATED FOODS SECTION called “VITA.” I think I have seen this stuff sitting on the shelf before..but for some reason…seeing it yesterday made my tongue swell and my eyes cross. It was rough…

SOOOOOOO…for the sake of turning this aweful, disgusting product into something fun…the first person to correctly tell me what VITA is…will win a $25.00 itunes gift card. :) Just post it in the comments section and make sure you leave your email address so I can contact you. Trust me…you can guess all you want to on this one folks, but unless you see it for yourself..you’ll NEVER believe people would eat this junk! One word…blomit. :) So…get to guessing! you have until tomorrow night!!! have a great day!!!

HBC Mag Shoot

This week we did a shoot for a really cool monthly magazine called Home Business Connection. When they called they said they were spotlighting a local gal named Stephanie who has an incredible home based business in the travel industry and I can tell you, hands down, this lady has her head on straight! She’s being featured not only in an editorial for the magazine, BUT…she’ll be on the cover!

When I asked her what she does in her spare time, she gave me the most awesome answer and I know that mine would have totally been the same if I were her! She said that when it came to extra time and extra money for her and her family, they didnt invest it in giant homes or big ole fancy cars, but that she invests it in her family…by traveling! She said that last year they were able to travel 15 weeks out of the year because of the success of her business and to me thats WAY better than any crummy car or Christmas bonus you’d get at a regular job! They go all over as a family and once I convince her to adopt me and Anthony, I’ll post images from all of the fabulous trips we take!!!

The magazine doesnt come out until March so I cant reveal too much, but I thought I would post an image of this really fun family!

OH! And I had to show you a little peak at this cutie patootie…shes Stephanie’s youngest and boy is she a doll!!

Congrats Steph and think about us while your traveling the world, or better yet…take us with you!!!!!
