New Born: Baby Lillian

This is sweet little miss Lillian! A few weeks ago I posted Emily and Matt’s maternity session on our blog and now they are wonderful parents to this beautiful little girl. :) We went to the hospital when Lillian was just a day old and she was a VERY willing participant in her first photo session. When we unswaddled her so we could get sweet lil feet pictures, she didnt cry or fuss or anything! She just stretched out her long legs (and LONG toes!) and even held a few kung foo poses for me so we could see just how big her feet were…hehehe. 

 When I was holding her at the hospital, it was like Riley knew there was another baby in my arms because he kept kicking me like crazy. He’s ready to play with Lillian and all of his other baby friends that we know. :) 

Matt, Emily, and Lillian are home now and we cant wait to visit again…we love you guys and are soooo glad Lillian is FINALLY here!!! Here are a few pictures from Lil’s world debut… :)

 

Sorry for so many lil feet pictures! She had literally the SOFTEST baby feet Ive ever felt before. I just wanted to kiss them all day!

Engaged: Jessica and Jordan!

Everyone, meet Jessica and Jordan! These two are sooooo much fun and we cant wait til June to shoot their wedding! Jessica and Jordan love Athens and we had a great time shooting around the down town area. I just LOVE the dress that Jessica wore too…she said it was her “on clearance” buy and Im telling you…I personally could NEVER pull off a dress of this color…but she rocked it and looked amazing the whole time! Jordan knows exactly how to make Jessica blush or giggle or smile really big and it was so much fun to watch! Their energy and love is totally contagious and we’re so excited to see how their wedding day unfolds. :)So…without further ado …here are some of our favorites. :)

Anytime: Traci B.

I hope everyone is having a WONDERFUL week! Its been a good week on our end and today marks the start of week 37 of this crazy pregnancy so… we’re in the home stretch folks!!!! In the next week we have a couples shoot AND a wedding and then its off to the land of mommy and daddy-hood for Anthony and I for a few weeks before we get back into the swing of things in May. I still have several things to blog in the next week so…keep popping in on us and we’re going to keep this blog updated as much as possible until our little guy gets here…then I fear I will be THAT girl who puts her kid’s pictures everywhere on her blog! Okay..just realized that the lady with the kid is going to be me…in order to avoid a panic attack..I’ll move on. :) 

Everyone, THIS is Traci! I love love love this woman! She and I have worked together over the last year a ton of times during countless shoots for an awesome magazine we work with often and if you ever need a buddy to have a martini with…she’s your gal! When she called me to set up a session I knew we were going to be in for a fun afternoon because Traci is…YES…she is THAT cool. :)  Thanks for hanging out with me last weekend Traci and hopefully we can get your mama to change the picture on her mantle now! hehehehe Here are some of our favorites from our session…

Engaged: Lindsey & Doug

This couple is so fun! Everyone, meet Lindsey and Doug! We are shooting their wedding in June and we got together yesterday to do their e-session. We got rained out this weekend and Im SOOOO glad that we did because yesterday was beautiful! These two are so funny and we had such a good time hanging out and playing a bit. :) 

Lindsey told me that she and Doug were REALLY outdoorsy (???) and loved spending time out in the middle of nature…sooooo thats what we did. What I DIDNT know…was that Lindsey hates bugs! It was really REALLY funny trying to avoid all the little creatures that are starting to come out now that its getting warmer…but Im telling you, they were everywhere! She was such a trooper and we all made it out alive. Whew…it was a close one! :) 

After we spent some time in the great outdoors, we went back to Doug’s house to have some play time with their sweet puppies, which you KNOW I loved! Okay, so they weren’t exactly puppies…but they were as sweet as could be and Charlie and Sophie almost tackled me to the ground when I got home trying to smell these pups on all my clothes! Shesh…silly dogs!

“You’re the same…my candy rain…”

It is with a SAD SAD heart that I tell everyone that one of my favorite 90’s groups…Soul 4 Real…is FOR REAL in trouble. I heard on the news a few minutes ago that apparently 3 of the members, who are brothers, are going to prison for committing fraud and stealing a bunch of money and getting all caught up in some crazy banking scandal. THIS IS SO SAD! I cant tell you how many times I used to backwards skate to their albums or how many baton twirling routines I made up to their songs. I feel like part of my childhood has been ripped away….how sad….

 

hehehehe. :) 

Just wanted to say HI to everyone and tell you that there is a LOT on the way! I have Lindsey and Doug’s e-session, Traci’s super fun session, and Jessica and Jordan’s e-session all coming soon so…hang in there for a few more days and there will be lots to see! Have a great weekend!!

Maternity: Emily & Matt

Everyone, its my pleasure to introduce to you Emily and Matt! They are expecting a little bundle of joy named Lillian in like..well…ANY day now and we cant wait for her to get here!!! Lillian is going to be one of the many ladies that Riley will have the opportunity to hang out with once he gets here and we couldnt be more excited that Riley hanging out with Lillian=Us hanging out with Emily and Matt! This whole play date thing is starting to look REALLY fun! :) 

We were scheduled to do Emily and Matt’s session last Sunday…BUT, Blizzard 2009 put a hault on our plans and Im so glad that it did because late last week it turned perfect outside and we had the best time at one of my favorite places in town…MY old elementary school’s playscape! P.S. When we pulled up, I freaked out! I remember it being SOOOOO much bigger when I was a kid…darn the adult perspective! 

We had such a great time during Emily and Matt’s session and we cant wait to meet their little miss once she gets here…no worries friends, you’ll get a chance to meet her on here Im sure! Here are just a few of our favorites from our day on the playground…and watch out…Matt’s a pointer! :) We love you Emily and Matt and hurry up and get here Lillian!!!

Baby:lil Baby Schill

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their Thursday so far. I have a hot cup of coffee and two sleepy puppies by my side so…my morning is great! (Although I threatened to cook Sophie (one of our cocker spaniels) for dinner because she is SOOOOO loud in the mornings after Anthony leaves for work…grrrr. But besides her being all loud and making me get up at the crack of dawn every morning…which triggers a wake up call to the baby in my belly and gets him on the move…Im good.) hahahaah wow…that was random. :) Now back to your regularly scheduled blog post…shesh

You guys probably remember Ben and Abby from their maternity session we did a few weeks ago. Well…just a few days after their session…their new addition decided to come into the world! He is so sweet and so little and it gave Anthony and I both a little panic attack to think about how WE are going to have THAT in our arms soon…and he will be OURS…not just someone else’s that we borrow for pictures. :) The new Schill baby looks JUST like his big brother and he is just as sweet as can be. Here are a few images we grabbed of this new little guy…

Okay…all new babies look like lil ole men when they are brand new…I just love this image because his expression is so funny!!!

We love little wrinkled baby feet too.. :) Congrats on being a ROCK STAR during labor Abby, you’re our hero! :) 

 

ALSO, a big ole HOORAY to our friend Becky at Gardenia Floral Design here in Athens! She is a fellow preggers and she was due about 3 1/2 weeks ahead of me and low and behold, she got a surprise on Sunday when her little miss decided to join their family almost a month early! Baby is perfectly healthy and Becky is a CHAMP! All these women who are handling this birth thing like its a box of brownies are making me think that I CAN do this! yippie!

Believe it or not…

Okay, so those of you in Athens know that it never snows here! Rarely..and I mean RARELY…we will get a few flutters of the white stuff but it never sticks and it just makes people like my friend Jill (hi Jill!), who is from Minnesota, pick on everyone in the South because we FREAK OUT when the temperature drops and schools close at the thought of a “winter storm.” :) Well…Sunday was insane! It started sleeting just as we finished brunch and that quickly turned into the largest snow flakes I have seen in forever! My friend Laurie didnt believe me…and my friend Jessica would have called for Chinese food with me if she were still in Athens (cause thats how we roll.. :) )so…I thought I would post a few pictures of just how insane it got around these parts!

Here is our neighbors house…we’re a good 2 inches in at this point…

 

and here is the hubs…lookin all cute and snow covered… :) 

 

All of these pictures were taken pretty early in the snow fall…but I think the GRAND TOTAL at my house was right at 7 inches…although some parts os Athens reportedly got as much as 11 inches! Shesh! We still have layers of snow and ice everywhere and driving to get gas made me feel like I was driving to the ski slopes (cars all covered with snow!). Anywho..after a few days of working from home it was back to the studio today to work on some images you will see really soon. Hope everyone had a few fun days being snowed in!!!
