Ashley & Josh: Married!!!

Happy Friday everyone!!! You all probably remember Ashley from her bridal session that got posted a few weeks ago…but now she is married and couldnt be happier! She and Josh have such a cool love story and it was so much fun being there on their big day. They had been dating for 10 years…YES…TEN YEARS! So…needless to say, this wedding was a long time coming. We were all praying that the weather would hold out since the entire reception was being held outdoors and I’ll tell you, the Lord was watching out for us because it rained like a monsoon the night of the rehearsal dinner but was bright and beautiful the day of the wedding…whew! Mix together a really sweet couple, a beautiful church, a fun band, and a little Red Stripe and you’ve got yourself a reason to celebrate!

Ashley and Josh, we hope you guys had a blast on your honeymoon and we cant wait to hang out next time your in town! We love you guys and thanks for letting us be a part of your wedding day! P.S. Ashely, your little brother might just be my new best friend…he is HILARIOUS!!! :)

Leigh & Brian: Maternity

You guys might remember Leigh from last year when we did a bridal session with her. She had been married for a year but called me about setting up a bridal session and we had SOOO much fun! I just love her and her husband, Brian, and I am so excited about their new adventures in parenthood! Leigh and I went back and forth on dates for her maternity session and we barely…and I mean BARELY squeezed it in…she had her sweet little baby the VERY NEXT DAY!!! I cant wait to meet her sweet boy tomorrow and Im so excited about sharing “new mommy” stuff with Leigh and letting our boys hang out together…how fun! Here are a few of our favorites… Congrats guys! We love you and cant wait to meet and snuggle with your sweet baby boy!

love stories…

Hey everyone…this post is a little scattered so stay with me!

SOOOOO sorry for my absence on this ole blog in the last few weeks. Its wedding season…(and by that I mean Im shooting my 5th in a row this Saturday!!!!) and its been nothing short of craziness around here lately. We have so much to post its not even funny! We have a couples session, maternity session, & 3 weddings to show you all but first…I thought I would share with you all a few pictures of my sweet, beautiful, growing, 100% baby boy! He is officially 2 whole months old as of Sunday and I can NOT believe that time is passing so fast! It makes me so excited and so sad at the same time. And I will tell you this, I have definitely cried at 3 of the 4 weddings I have just shot when they do the mother-son dance. Here’s how it all goes down:

*DJ/Band announces mother-son dance…I pull the camera up to my eye to start shooting

*mother makes son smile and he gives her a big ole hug…my eyes well up and the alligator sized tears start to form…

*son spins mom on the dance floor…I drop the camera to my side and the ugly cry lip quiver thing starts happening…

*I look through the crowd for my sweet husband to smile at him as if to say, “Honey, this is going to be me and Riley one day..” but when our eyes actually meet I realize he is FRANTICALLY waving his arms at me and mouthing ” QUIT CRYING AND TAKE PICTURES!!!!!”…then I snap out of it and finish documenting this sweet dance with mama and her son.

Whew! Glad I got that off my chest. I promise I am emotionally stable but now I totally get it. I get why parents are super weepy at weddings. I get why mamas will fight to the death with vendors to make sure their daughters wedding day is special. I get why daddys are the best men at their sons weddings. I get it…and I can honestly say that having my sweet little boy has made me love more(in general) AND love what I do more. Its made me treasure the couples who pick us to capture their big, beautiful day. And its made me look even more forward to the future couples I will get to work with and learn…Im soooo ready to hear your love stories and meet your families and give them wonderful, unique, and beautiful images that they will love forever and ever…because I would want this for Riley too.

So, I’ll quit being mushy and get to some pictures. The other day we put Ri in his ”little squirt” pj’s…look at the bottom of the feet on these…heheheh I love them!

This is is “hmmm…mom, i dont know if I like this camera in my face thing you do…” look

And this is his.. “nope…definitely dont like it.” look

Alrighty..well…Im off to bed. You guys have a great week and I hope to have our maternity session blogged in the next day or so! Woot!

Ashley: Bridals

Hey everyone!!! Meet Ashely! You will be seeing a more of her really soon because we just shot her wedding this past weekend and we cant wait to get into the images and have the chance to relive she and Josh’s big day! It was so beautiful and I must say, Ashley’s dress made her look like a greek goddess! It was so perfect for her and she was so beautiful!

The day we did her bridals was a lot of fun. Her sweet sweet mama and her HILARIOUS brother both joined us and we just had a great time hanging out and talking about how fan-tabulous Ashely looked. Here are some of our favs…

Kelley & Kelsey: Married!!!

They did it! They really…finally did it! Everyone, meet Kelley and Kelsey!

I have known Kelley for…well…about forever. She, her sister, and I all grew up together in youth group at our old church and I cant believe she is married!!! Holy Moly…how old does that make me feel?! Shesh…

Kelley and Kelsey have dated for ever and been engaged for the last two years so everyone was so excited for their big day. It couldnt have been more beautiful outside and everyone was absolutely beautiful. These two were so relaxed and trusted us to do whatever we wanted in order to grab some great shots. We started with Kelley in the bathroom of her bridal suite. It takes a super rock star to make a bathroom look good and…well..she had NO problem doing that. Stunning Kel, just stunning.

The rest of the day was wonderful too and I wont bore you with any more chatter and just get to the goods!

Look at this sweet lil miss! This flower girl was escorted down the isle by her uncle James. :)

Kelley’s parents lovin’ on each other (and if you knew these two…you would know this is not out of the ordinary!)

Looks like Kelley and Kelsey have been watching her parents…heheheh

Congrats and happy honeymooning you guys! We love you and cant wait to hang out when you get back!!!

MPP T-Shirts are here!!!

Hey everyone…first off…be sure to scroll down and see the post from Meredith and Mike’s e-session! :)NEXT, a big ole fat THANK THANK THANK YOU to Mer and Mike for modeling our new MPP t-shirts for us. heheheh These two are goofy and we absolutely love it!

On to the goods! Our shirts are awesome and we love the way they turned out. The design was done by our friends at MPrint and the shirts were made at Shirtworks here in town. You guys rock my face off and we cant wait to work with you again! Meredith & Mike: Engaged!!!

Everyone meet Mer and Mike! Oh the stories I could tell about Meredith….eh! She and I go back….WAY back to the semester that Anthony and I got engaged (Fall of 2004!) She was a freshman…I was a 4th year. *(yes I said 4th year…and for those of you dying to know, it took me 5…and a half years to graduate. I couldnt make up my mind as to what I wanted to do!!! )* We were in 2 classes together and when we met it was an instant friendship. This girl is FUN-NY and when she called me a few weeks ago and told me that she and Mike were engaged I couldnt believe it! I was so excited and, although I hadnt met Mike at the time,I knew from how she talked about him that he was a pretty special guy.

Mike is Meredith’s calm…her balance…he gives her just as much attitude as she gives him…and in her words, Mike feels like “home.” I told her that when Anthony and I got engaged…that he felt like “home” to me. And Im so happy that she has found her home…*insert girlie sigh here.
