Samantha & Steve: Engaged!

Sam contacted me right after she and Steve got engaged and Im SO glad that she did! They will be getting married in Pennsylvania next fall and Im pretty convinced this wedding will be a riot…these two are SO much fun! They really loved their time in Athens for school and we had a great time visiting their favorite coffee shop and their favorite part of campus. Nothing starts the day off better (in my opinion) than a big ole cup of coffee so I was happy to dive in and drink up at Two Story with them! The shop was empty so we got to hang out and play a little. Steve was kind enough to read us a few Dr.Suess oldies (but goodies!) and we successfully scared off a few kids trying to study by laughing and spreading out all over the furniture. We ended the session on north campus in what I can only describe as a hot, sticky mess. This weather in Georgia is killing me this summer! It seems so much hotter than normal…but these two stuck it out and smiled the entire time!

Congrats again Sam and Steve! Thanks for choosing us to help you remember your love story in Athens. We know there is a lot of fun, love, and happiness in you guys future and we couldnt be more excited for you!

Baby Vera

This little miss is really sweet and her laid back personality was so much fun to photograph. I have known Vera’s mama, Laura, for years and when she contacted me about shooting Vera’s 3 month pictures I jumped at the chance to snuggle this beautiful little girl!  We had a great time hanging out during a crazy rain storm and I love the little faces that she made in front of my camera!  *Vera has a particularly good “Say what?!” face. :)

Laura & Wil….you guys have a precious little miss and I cant wait to snuggle her again in a few month!

Morgan and Andrew

Morgan and Andrew are no newbies to our blog…Ive been taking their pictures FOR-EV-ER! They called about sneaking in a quick little session since Andrew needed a few updated pictures for his job (he’s a male model of the zoolander breed…you’ll see. :) hehehhe) so we went ahead and just had a little fun with both of them.

M & A, we love you guys so much and cant wait to visit with you again!

Janet and Jay

Oh happy day! Janet and Jay’s wedding was so much fun! *and I say this living vicariously through my 2nd shooter, Courtney, because Reese was just a few days old the day of their ceremony…so I missed it. :( BUT, I just shot their reception a week ago so I didnt have to miss out on ALL the wedding fun!

Janet and Jay had a sweet little ceremony at their house, in the back yard with their beautiful red barn as the perfect backdrop. Afterwards, they strolled around downtown for a bit and then met up with close friends for dinner at East West. This wedding was a LOOOOOONNNNGGGGG time coming and I know that Janet is reveling in wedded bliss now and we couldnt be more happy for these two!

Jake & Kelli

Kelli and Jake we the first wedding we had back after Reese was born and the day couldnt have been more perfect. :) Kelli is a photographer herself and it always makes me a little anxious when I shoot for someone who knows the ends and outs of what Im doing…but Kelli and Jake made my job easy. They were so much fun and Im pretty sure we laughed more than anything that day. Life is going to be so exciting for this new couple and we were so happy we got to be a part of it!*p.s the cellist and guitarist at their ceremony were UNreal…seriously.

Kelli looked SO beautiful in her strapless wedding gown adorned with sweet little buttons and pockets. I WISH my wedding dress had had pockets! Jake was swanky in his tux and UGA cufflinks that Kelli gave him too. It was a warm summery day and we couldnt have asked for a prettier setting than the John Michael Oliver House for their wedding. JMOH and Hallie Janes set up a beautiful canopy of lights and lanterns for the day and it was exactly as Kelli had invisioned when she came up with the idea! Flowers Inc. provided amazing florals for the day and their cakes were a mixture of home made and shop made goodness!

Jake & Kelli, we were SO honored to be a part of your special day and cant wait to see what the future holds for you guys! Your families and friends we so much fun to be around and they sure do love you guys a lot. We hope your wedding was everything you dreamed it would be and that your marriage stays fun and filled with lots of love and laughter!

Kimberly & Curtis

Happy Thursday everyone :)

This week has been jam packed with lots of shooting/editing/working as well as still being able to take a little time to take our lil fish (Riley) swimming and sneak in some baby snuggles with Reese. Weeks like this make me feel really efficient and like Im getting ahead so…fingers crossed the productivity continues! On to the post!

This is Kimberly and Curtis! These two were so wonderful to work with and I couldnt have been more excited to work with them! When Kimberly called me last year about shooting with wedding, I knew they were full of ideas that could make for a fantastic day. Little did I know that when it was all said and done, I would STILL be in awe about all they pulled together for their big day!

Here are some of our favorite images from their wedding…K & C, we are so blessed to have gotten a chance to know you and cant wait to work with you guys again!

Stephen & Sarah: Married!

Steve & Sarah got married right before our sweet Reese was born and since we are catching up 100% here right now..this post is WAY over due! :)

Steve and Sarah have a really cool story. They met in Athens…moved to Boston so Steve could finish school…got married in Athens…back to Boston for graduation…then off to California for their month long honeymoon via a drive across country in their VW bus. I.LOVE.IT. Steve is getting ready to start the Culinary Institute of America this fall and we cant wait for him to return to Athens with his fancy degree and take the Athens food scene by storm!

Their big day was beautiful and perfect and we were so proud to be a part of it. Sarah’s sweet and gentle nature puts everyone at ease that she comes in contact with. Steve’s passion for life makes him so much fun to be around. We love this couples love and are so excited about what the future will bring them!

Andrea & Hal:Engaged!

Hi everyone! I hope everyones summer has been wonderful and that you are not melting in the heat like we have been lately. Tuesday was technically the first day of summer but its been summer in Georgia for like a month already!

It was sweltering on Tuesday at a whopping 99 degrees outside around 1:00, but despite the heat, Andrea and Hal were SO much fun to work with. I couldnt have asked for a better couple to hang out with…I am SO excited about working with Andrea on her bridals in August and then again in September for their wedding. These two definitely bring a good time with them where ever they go.

Just a small message to Andrea: Girl…that boy LOVES you…not just love love…but LOVE loves. And I am super glad that hes not afraid to show it. He literally wears it on his face all the time. And despite what he might say..I think he likes your little dog too. hehheeh

*In other new we are really excited to welcome a new intern to our team this summer…her name is Elizabeth and you’ll see her on here soon so be on the look out! Have an awesome Thursday everyone!

An update on us!

Oh its been a crazy month for the Pepins…but a really really incredible one. At around 3:30 in the morning on April 6th, I started feeling kind of crappy…and crappy turned into crampy…and crampy turned into “OH GOSH! THIS IS IT!!!” I went into labor. :) By 11:15 that morning, we had our sweet, beautiful, amazing little girl, Reese, in our arms and life felt full and whole. I love her…Anthony loves her…Riley REALLY loves her and everything feels exactly like it should.

Reese is a great great baby. She sleeps well and eats well and only cries when she is really upset. My labor was super smooth and in the end I think that shes taking it easy on me since the last two months of my pregnancy were no good. We are so so happy she is here and couldnt be more in love.

I have been off since the day Reese was born and I dont shoot again until Kelly & Jake’s wedding on May 21st and Im so thankful for this time with my family. And as much as I love getting to just tend to my role as mommy, Im really excited about shooting again this month. All of my gear as been checked out and tuned up by Canon and my first couple Im working with is really sweet and FUN-NY…its going to be a great wedding and I cant wait! Ok ok…Im going to get back to laundry and diapers and baby snuggles…but I figured you guys would all want to see our sweet new addition. **Giant thanks to Courtney Houston for coming to the hospital and taking pictures for us. :)

Michele & Phillip: Engaged!

Meet Michele & Phillip! These two love birds have a really cool story…because they have been together FOR-EV-ER! :) When Michele emailed me about setting up a session for when her fiance, Phillip , would be home on military leave, I jumped at the chance to give her a date. She said that they had been together forever and that she was so incredibly excited to be his wife soon. She said that they have a lot of fun just being with each other. And then she said that they were not very good at being romantic for pictures and stuff. Well..I think she was lying because these two had a LOT of chemistry and it photographed beautifully! :) Her respect for how he serves our country was amazing to see…this girl is PROUD to be a military wife soon. And the way Phillip would look at her was just perfect…it was like seeing two best friends in love…like it should be.

Michele & Phillip, we are so excited for you guys and thanks for working around our crazy schedule to get in a session with us…Phillip be safe and thank you a thousand times over for helping to protect our country!

Here are some of our favorites (OH! And a big…Huge..GIANT… THANK YOU to Laurie Crutchfield for shooting this session with me while she was in town helping me shoot Sarah and Steve’s wedding! My husband would have killed me if I tried to climb up on the rocks and stones at Watsons Mill Park that I needed to, but Laurie stepped in and handled everything I wasnt supposed to do. I swear if this woman ever moves to Athens, we’re going into business together and we are going to take this little town by storm! Love you Laurie…you are awesome!):
